Real Estate Property search has remained one of the laggards in the informatioin search industry. Even though there are good property search engines out there, like Zillow or Redfin, they mostly focus on the capacity to FILTER the dataset of properties based on commonly used parameters like beds or baths. Usually the results of a property search look like this:
The more specific is your filter, the less dots you'll see on the map, and therefore the less work you have to actually do on each of the dots. The challenge in Real Estate is that the vast majority of buyers, sellers and renters do not have a clear goal in mind with 100% certainty of what they want.
This is the state of Search in Real Estate in Q3-2019, and very little progress has been made over the last 10-15 years (the time since the MLS went online) to SORT or RANK these properties into anything meaningful. This problem is further exacerbated by the fact that unlike keywords in a web page (that Google can rank), houses have a very high correlation value between its perceived value as a "DEAL" and the currently available inventory of the immediate vicinity of the property itself.
Wouldn't it be nice if everytime you search for properties, the results appeared ordered by their relative deal quality value for each property? This ensures you are always looking at things that, at least financially, are better starting points that properties in page #2. Just like you expect from Google as a search engine, we created the first "Property Rank" algorithm to do just that:
With Realdax's Property Rank, when you search for properties, the best deals show up first, and as you filter down more and more, we leverage this rank to show you the best deals that match your specific criteria always on top. And off-course, if you want to look at dots in a map, we have that too.
